Spend your Allgäu holiday in a listed heritage house from 1750 — with two fully equipped holiday apartments, a quiet location at 850 m altitude and mountain views. Buching lies in the heart of the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, the largest nature reserve in Bavaria.

Anno Dazumal offers 140 m² with parlor, tiled stove and three double rooms. Carpe Diem is the more compact option at 95 m² with a fireplace and a separate sun terrace. Both apartments are non-smoking; pets are welcome.

Location in Halblech-Buching at 850 m

The house dates from 1750 and was renovated in 1984 and converted into two holiday apartments. Oil-fired central heating supplies the house with underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators in the attic. On a 450 m² plot with a garden pond, you will experience peace and mountain views.

Halblech-Buching belongs to the municipality of Halblech in the Eastern Allgäu and lies on the edge of the Ammer Mountains – the largest nature reserve in Bavaria.

The Region Around Your Holiday Apartment

Neuschwanstein Castle (foundation stone laid 5 September 1869, opened 1886) and Hohenschwangau Castle (rebuilt 1833–1837) are located in Schwangau just a few kilometres away. Tickets via the Ticketcenter Hohenschwangau.

The Tegelberg in Schwangau reaches 1,881 m at the Branderschrofen summit; the Tegelbergbahn cable car climbs roughly 892 metres of elevation. In Buching, the Buchenberg chairlift opens a family-friendly ski area in winter.

The Halblech wild river runs about a ten-minute walk from the house. The municipality of Halblech is a certified premium hiking location and part of the Allgäuer Wandertrilogie.

The Romantic Road runs roughly 460 km from Würzburg to Füssen. Halblech-Buching lies on the southern stretch shortly before the end.
